OCLS: Youth Employment Support

The OCLS Youth Employment Support Program is dedicated to providing comprehensive career readiness support for young people. Through personalized coaching, we help youth gain the essential skills and confidence needed to enter the Canadian workforce. Our services include:

Resume Building & Cover Letter Writing: Creating application materials that meet local Canadian standards.
Targeted Job Search Guidance: Mastering effective channels to find employment.
Interview Skills Training: Real-world simulations to improve interview performance.
Workplace Rights Education: Understanding employee rights and workplace norms.

Youth Employment and Leadership

The youth employment program, delivered by the Social Planning Council of Ottawa (SPCO), is designed to support youth facing barriers to employment. This program is focused on helping youth from diverse backgrounds, including visible minorities, new Canadians, youth with disabilities, and youth from low-income households, gain the skills, knowledge, and connections needed for a successful career.
